Grupo Peñafiel is one of the largest beverage companies in Mexico. They have been in business for more than 60 years, and they offer a wide variety of carbonated and non-carbonated drinks. With more than 50 leading brands, such as Peñafiel, Clamato, Squirt, Aguafiel, Crush, Dr. Pepper, Snapple, Canada Dry, and Schweppes, among others, they have more than 300,000 points of sale. Their business model integrates every step of the supply chain, from manufacturing the product to distributing it to its consumers.

CHALLENGE

Grupo Peñafiel’s greatest difficulty was getting appropriate information for its performance indicators in enough detail to make decisions, because the group’s previous system was obsolete.

SOLUTION

MyABCM is a very attractive tool because it offers several benefits at the same time: processes that can be automated using the interface, quick calculation times, the importing of tables, the exporting of cubes, technical support, and the flexibility to adjust with internal changes without needing to hire a consulting firm, among others.

RESULTS

The process currently takes 2 days as compared to the 15 days it took in the past before the implementation of MyABCM. Thanks to the sophisticated and detailed information provided by this tool for profitability as well as other forms of analysis, the company today has better control of the cost and profitability of its routes, markets, brands, channels, and clients.
