IBP has chosen MyABCM to improve its rebilling model

COMPANY

IBP, an entity of BPCE SI, is a software house company serving Banque Populaire, Caisse d’Epargne and multiple subsidiaries of the BPCE group. Its teams of experts work on the development of the information systems of these entities. In addition, they are specialized in the creation, testing and launch of IT applications for the insurance and financial services businesses: consumer credit, factoring, leasing and other related services.

CHALLENGE

The IBP’s IT billing model had maintenance and scalability difficulties due to its reliance on Excel. Collaboration and information sharing were limited, and the creation of simulation scenarios was not possible with simple spreadsheets. The goal was also to provide the operational departments with the ability to analyze the results.

A tool was needed to streamline and secure the processing of multiple source data. Limitations of Excel included the difficulty of evolving the model, sharing results, comparing multiple scenarios, the high risk of errors, and the difficulty for one user to pass on knowledge to another. MyABCM had advantages over Excel, particularly with regard to output, which was limited in Excel.

SOLUTION

The company wanted to switch to a specific tool such as MyABCM to automate its entire rebilling process.

The choice of tool

Following the choice of BPCE IT, the choice of MyABCM was an obvious one for IBP. In addition, the reasonable price compared to competitors was a determining factor.

RESULTS

For IBP, the implementation of MyABCM has been a success, as it provides a clear understanding of business and cost effects by linking them to the corresponding volumes. The group has found the restitution and traceability features to be valuable assets. In addition, MyABCM provides simulation capabilities and increases productivity, as the head of management control noted.
